IKEPOD NOW AVAILABLE AT WATCHISMO!
We're longtime fans and very proud to offer one of the coolest brands in the history of watchmaking
Combining a multitude of influences, from Switzerland to Australia, and across to New York, Ikepod is a watch brand like no other - boasting some of the most wonderfully individual watches of the modern age. Designer Marc Newson designed all the watches and his aesthetic genius is evident in each understated piece that is elegantly simple with a truly avant-garde spirit. Collaborations with other artists include a watch in conjunction with Jeff Koons and KAWS.

The Ikepod Horizon's unique dial creates the optical illusion of appearing convex, thereby emphasizing the three dimensional volume of the IKEPOD case. It makes reference to the “event horizon” in astrophysics, literally meaning the edge of a “black hole” – the moment when gravity becomes infinite, when both time and space disappear. The timeless beauty and simplicity of this wristwatch, juxtaposed with its reference to the mathematical end of time and space, underscore the poetry and fleeting nature of timekeeping itself.
Never one to limit himself within the confines of a specific category of artistic expression, the latest artist collaboration with KAWS takes shapes with the street artist curating a custom-designed Ikepod Horizon Wristwatch. Bringing together the Swiss watchmaker’s affinity for contemporary and modern timepieces, the Ikepod KAWS collaborative effort sees the trademark Chomper teeth motif emblazoned across the black dial with the dual lines of his “X” graphic comprising the hour and minute hands. True to the original Horizon models designed by Marc Newson, the watch features a 44mm case and beautifully brushed bezel.
Marc Newson's latest creation for Ikepod sees the Australian designer interpret the most iconic timepiece of all: The Hourglass. Director Philip Andelman traveled to Basel, Switzerland, to document the designer's modern take of the classic hourglass inside the Glaskeller factory (see video on product pages). Each hand made hourglass comprises highly durable borosilicate glass and millions of stainless steel nanoballs.
